Hi friends!
I want to be honest. I'm currently going through "The Dip." It's that moment between when you start doing something and when you become one of the best in world. It's the moment when you ask yourself why you're even doing something in the first place. The moment most people give up.
This week was a lot of writing. I had 7 atomic essays to write (just published the 7th one about an hour ago), 1 newsletter (working on right now), and 1 deal memo of a pre-IPO startup (will work on that as soon as I send this newsletter out). I also got accepted to The Writing Studio and will be coached by Michael Dean during the month of July on a long-form piece of content. I'm looking forward to sharing that with you all when it's ready!
On top of that, I'm slowly, but surely getting ready to fly back to California next week for a month. I'll be a California girl once again! *cue California Gurls by Katy Perry*
Here's what I want to share this week:
🖋️ Quote of the week
"The most important battles must be fought anew each day. Exercising today does not render tomorrow's workout unnecessary. Supporting your spouse today does not mean you can mail it in tomorrow. Learn to love the endless nature of things and life gets easier." - James Clear
🚀 Published atomic essays:
13 atomic essays done. 17 more to go!
👩🏾💻 Upcoming atomic essays:
This coming week, I'll be approaching week 3 of Ship 30 for 30. Here are the atomic essays I have planned:
Quick takeaways from Pinterest's deal memo
A letter to my brother who got his first product designer job
Communities To Get Involved In As A Startup Founder in Canada
Communities To Get Involved In As A VC Investor in Canada
Placing small writing bets to identify your personal monopoly
Using the “Minimum Viable Lift” when you lose writing momentum
+ one more TBD
🤔 Question for you
Have you gone through "The Dip" recently? What were you working on and how did you overcome it?
👋🏽 That's all for now
I'd love to hear from you whether it's feedback on what you enjoyed about this week's newsletter, what needs work, and what you want to hear more about.
Chat with you all next week!
Cheers,
Neilda
